Beinn a' Chroin
After walking from the wild camp site near the car park at Inverlochlarig we walked up the road for a while before turning right up a very steep grassy slope. Eventually we meet rock formations blocking our path up the southeast face of the mountain. After some tribulations we found a suitable path up to the first summit below the top of Beinn a' Chroin. The path to An Caisteal was initially covered with low cloud, as we scrambled down and then up the path to the peak of An Caisteal where the low cloud and wind made for the worst conditions of the day. The path up had been too difficult to return on so we sought another route to the southwest down towards a stream which we then followed to meet the road and finish with a long stint on the flat. Back at the car park we changed our shoes and felt jaded by the two days of walking. 19-08-2020
